IBA
I had the opportunity to lead the rebranding and creatively support the IBA’s (International Boxing Association) two major annual events, held in New Delhi for the women’s competition and Tashkent for the men’s.
The project’s objective was to develop localized branding for each event, ensuring a unique and culturally relevant experience while maintaining the overarching IBA brand identity. This approach not only facilitated a rebranding effort but also provided an opportunity for my team and me to contribute our expertise during the events themselves.
By embracing the local cultures and environments of New Delhi and Tashkent, we explored and developed design systems that paid homage to these regions. Bold, graphical shapes and vibrant colors brought everything together, creating a “punchy” aesthetic that resonated strongly with the client.
One of the highlights of this project was showcasing my 3D motion design capabilities through the creation of three bespoke pieces of creative content. These assets garnered the highest engagement across the IBA’s social platforms, each focusing on a different call-to-action and leveraging gamification strategies to foster audience participation and interaction.
During the Women’s event, I produced a video to drive larger engagement by creating a competition where participants could win a bespoke-designed glove used during the event. For the men’s competition, I utilized 3D animation to gamify a social media post, boosting viewing retention and fostering a sense of interactivity.
The campaign culminated with a farewell video for the men’s event, the final installment of the year. This piece featured the bespoke glove used in the men’s competition, rendered in 3D and showcased within an environment inspired by Tashkent’s architecture, while subtly hinting at the overarching IBA brand identity.
Throughout this project, I demonstrated my ability to seamlessly blend cutting-edge 3D techniques with gamification marketing strategies, creating compelling narratives that resonated with audiences and drove meaningful engagement across various digital and social platforms.
